Spring Bouquet

It seemed to me that the time had come to freshen up my blog banner.....(it had not been changed in quite a long time)
I decided to feature my latest doodle,  Spring Bouquet.
I drew it on my iPad mini...using the Concepts app and my stylus, Pencil by Paper 53

I have to admit that I kinda cheated a little.....how?  you might wonder.....well....I drew only 1 half of the doodle and using some of the tools within the app, I copied, flipped & fit 2 halves together.
Once I was happy with that part of it, I went on to refine and add more details to it.

It was an interesting exercise....trial and error helps me learn more ways to play with line.

Oooh, Jill -- this is gorgeous! And it's right up my alley, because I LOVE creating symmetrical designs. Please tell me more about the Concepts app -- this is different from the one you use to create your kaleidoscopes, right?

Love this!!

I really like your new banner. It says it all in such a pretty and creative way.
Birds have become one of my favourites - have them everywhere in my house.

This is amazing! Talk about professional!!! Your banner is wonderful and you are quite the artist! Although, we blog readers have known that for quite sometime! Amazing work!!!!

I do like this very much, as I do with all of your "doodles", but I must admit to expressing a "laughing-snort" when I first saw this one on my side bar. (I have you listed on my blog as One To Learn From, because you are one to learn from!) Anyway....the reason for the lol-ort was at first glance....I saw this as a uterus. I admit to having a 'we are women, hear us f-ing roar' kind of mindset these days.

Very elegant new header, bright and springy. Mirroring your sketch was a wonderful way to save yourself some work, and it is more precise.

Your new banner showcasing your Doodled Bouquet and Bird is gorgeous. You are very clever to let the app tools help you with the end resulting doodle. Amazing what you do...oodle!
