Feature article.

Many of you know that I have a collection of toy and miniature sewing machines. I was recently asked to compose a short article about my collection and well....about these little gems in general. The article appears in the current issue of The Canadian Quilter and I just noticed that it is also a "featured" article which means there is a link to it so that it can be read online. If you would like to take a look, you will find the link here.....look for it under the heading for Canadian Quilter Magazine Spring 2018

If you would like to see individual photos of the machines in my collection (well most of them, I still need to post more photos) You can click the "Toy Sewing Machine" button on my sidebar
But here is an overall look at the photos of my machines that I have posted there.

WOW! I thought there was a problem with pictures being duplicated but NOPE...these are all your machines (or most of them! HA). Guess I missed that about you and your collection! Cool!

Whaaaaaat!!!!!??? Now that is absolutely amazing. So much color. Isn't it interesting that machines are very blandly colored for the most part but hose little gems are so varied and colorful as a group. What a fascinating collection. I never had a toy sewing machine as a child but I did learn to sew on a treadle. You were the perfect choice for the article. An expert in fact.

I also love these little machines, Jill. I have approximately 25 of them, but I don't have the knowledge about them that you have. I think I will attempt to find the books you mentioned.

Unbelievable, Jill! I had no idea you owned this large a collection -- wow!! I just love the little turn-cranks on these machines -- do they actually still work? And where do you display them all? Has hubby built a room especially for them? (You know, you could do that, and then have guided tours of the machines and charge admission -- this could become a whole new business for you . . .)
