Finished

My little Janome inspired quilt is finished.....I decided to call it "In Stitches"

It is just a small scrappy sampler style quilt. It all began with that embroidered pin cushion design, the rest of the piece sort of grew around it.  I am not used working in a manner where measuring and cutting needs to be accurate.....I am much more comfortable making quilts I can "eyeball"   so I must say I learned quite a lot playing with this.

I had fun with the quilting and then finished it off by using all sorts of buttons, pins, snaps and other sewing related bits as embellishment.

That is just adorable. I love how you brought it all together and all the different types of quilting.

More a little piece of art than a quilt, you have an amazing imagination! This is just so lovely to showcase your "doodle". Where will you hang it?

Happy Sewing

Simply wonderful, Jill! Janome should use it in their ads for the new machine -- you should send them a picture of it. It's a perfect inspiration for quilters everywhere.

I'm with you on the accuracy needed for patchwork. (Which is why I do art quilts) I am just not a precise person but do so admire and respect those that do. I love the safety pins! Nice touch ;-)

Love this quilt. Your doodle looks great surrounded by all this beautiful quilting. Love the eyeball comment. I have to concentrate way to hard when I make a traditional quilt, but I do love them. Excellent job as always.
