I have spent a little more time designing feathers and I wanted a way to mark them so that I could repeat a feather over and over if I so desire. So using my Jenny Haskins Magic Heat Cutting tool and some Mylar I created a couple of stencils. They can be used from either side and they should stand up for a very, very long time.
I pounced the design and as you can see I have lines that are clear and easy to follow.
I realized today That I had not posted last week's doodle. This is my response to the 75th word prompt which was Violet

Love the feather marking tool. I'm still doing them freely on the machine, but at times, I would like to be able to repeat them. I must look up that Jenny Haskins tool. Neat.
Love your doodle by the way. All of them...
Your doodle is great and so it the feather! I need to quilt The Tarts Come to Tea and am anxiety ridden about it. I just need some practice. Thanks, as usual, for participating.
I used to love doing these freemotion on the machine, making them up as I went. They were so much fun and usually looked better than the ones I marked! (LOL! Says something about my work methods, eh?)
Very nice...even with the fiber art I still occasionally do, I still love feathers... :)
XXOO!!

Love those feathers wish I could make them guess I have to practice more and more. I just took some time to look at your projects and I just love all your work, the postcards are amazing. I am going to make the Hockey player this winter. Been busy looking after a sick friend.
Very clever..I too love the feathers..don't stitich them as much as I would like..your doodle is WONDERFUL!
What a great idea. I'm going to see if I can find that tool and try it. Thanks for sharing.
As always....great drawing and look at you with your feathers!! Is there anything you've ever attempted and failed at? You turn everything you do into a work of art!
Great feather stencils! I'm impressed.
Oh wow......you are really mastering the feather.....great stencil.
Was it difficult to make the stencil?
Your stitches are great looking too.
