I am still just playing with that little crazy quilt piece. I added a bit more fabric to the outer border to give me more stitching space. I am currently making up insects (all in greyscale) using black, greys and white threads
So far I have completed some ants and a couple of moths.
It is really like doodling with needle and thread in place of a pencil.

Very nice Jill; this is shaping up beautifully. The moths in particular catch my eye. (probably because I fight ants most of the year!)
Bravo!

What a cute design and idea! It's coming out well.
And you do both quite well!
Love it!!
beautiful, love the black/white/grey only combo.
Just a wonderful piece!!! Love the b/w!
It's looking good! I love the moth.
YOu really do the most amazing things Jill...I never cease to marvel at what you are doing. I bought some Inktense pencils a few days ago...with greet intentions - but hanve go to them yet...inspired by yourself of course :) and some dye...god only knows when I will get toit all
You have an amazing grasp of these insects -- I'm not usually a bug person, and these are really appealing. You do incredible work, Jill -- such detail!

Very smart of you to add more fabric to give you more space to do your fabulous embroidery. Love this quilt. Happy stitching...
gosh I'm looking forward to larger views to give me scale, but the detail is also beautiful
Great progress!
