I didn't really have any expectation of what would happen with this....but I am quite pleased with the results.
First was a Lemon Yellow dye
Then some Royal over top
and finally, Scarlet
The results (not sure how I missed taking a shot of the whole piece)
stitching adds another dimension

The fabrics look wonderful. I really like the first quilting sample the best. It would also look great if you combined samples 1 and 2 together. such as echos in the dark portion and circles in the light.
The colors is wonderful!! Absolutely love it. But, the stitching/quilting just brings it to life. Amazing how different the fabrics look with the different quilting patterns. Very interesting!
Oh fun, real fun
It's amazing how the quilting changes each piece
I think this qualifies as being officially hooked on dying your own fabric!
(there's nothing like the surprise of rinsing it out!)

fabulous Jill. It is always fun to open it up and see what you got:) You have inspired to do some dying myself.
Looking forward to your next surprise:)

Cool!
Wonderful colours Jill - what dye did you use and what sort of fabric. My curious mind!
Amazing what serendipity can do -- this looks like you had fun, fun, fun!

I am so in love with stitching...I just love each of the photos of your stitching...YUM!
This is beautiful fabric with the random colorations. Then with your stitching it is amazing. Genius...
So lovely as always! :)
